FAQ & How to Navigate Video

Attendee Quick Reference Guide

Use a compatible browser. The platform works best on Safari and Firefox. Pro tip: Make sure your browser is up to date. Try another browser if something is not loading. If it still isn't working, try refreshing your browser.

Join from laptop or PC. We recommend attending the CTAT Virtual Conference through your laptop/PC, rather than your mobile device, for the best experience.

Check your internet speed. We recommend a minimum of 5mbps download and 2mbps upload. Ideally, we like to see 30mbps download and 10mbps upload or higher for the best quality. Test your speed here.

Restart your computer before joining the event. This ensures that there are no other video applications holding onto audio or video for any reason.

Please use headphones when participating on-screen. This will help eliminate echo and feedback.

How to access the platform: You should have received an invitation to the conference module with a unique access key delivered to the email used for registration. If you registered for an additional training look for a separate access key. Set up your NextThought account user name and password and bookmark the site. You will create your own password when you setup your account. If you don't see an email from NextThought, search your spam folder. IMPORTANT: You must use the email address the access key was emailed to, as your email address when creating your NextThough account or it will not link to your registration.

NEXT THOUGHT ACCOUNT

Once you create a user name and password on the Next Thought website, you can then redeem your code/access key to see the additional training and/or conference module.

CEU MATRIX & CONFERENCE CERTIFICATE

Progress is tracked after watching the session and completing the survey. The Conference Certificate of Attendance can be found under "View Profile", "Achievement".  Click "Transcript" under your profile to download the CEU credits. 10 hours will be awarded upon completion. If more than 10 session hours are attended, click the "CEU Matrix" to download the session list and manually track all of your CEUs.

AVAILABILITY

Sessions, handouts, certificates, and transcripts will be available until March 31, 2021. The live Q&A with presenters at the end of the sessions will not be recorded. The benefit of attending live is to engage with the presenters.

TIME RELEASED

The sessions are time released and will appear live to you 5 mins before the session starts.

NextThought FAQs
What is a 'Course'?
- The conference is a 'Course Module.' If you also register for additional trainings, those will also appear on your home page in the virtual platform as another course.

Will I have to enroll/register on the virtual platform site?
- Yes, you will receive an access code ("key") in your email before conference and you will create an account using the email address you received the key to and redeem the code for the conference course.

I did not receive a code / I am not able to access the virtual platform site, why is this happening?
- In advance, we ask that you check with your IT department to make sure all emails from the ctat.org and nextthought.com domain are allowed in order to prevent firewall blockage so that you receive all pertinent details to access the event.
